Today I went to Newcastle. I went in some shops, we went to Primark and Monsoon, before going to McDonalds for lunch. After that we went to Tesco in Hexham and bought flowers for my granny and papa’s grave. Their grave was in Gilsland. We regularly go and put flowers on the grave.
In Edinburgh I watched some of the fringe festival’s street shows . This picture shows my little brother and little sister watching a penguin themed juggling show, the performer was quite funny. There was a different person who did some sort of mime act, it was good too. The street performers were on The Mound, it is beside Princess Street. We saw some of the Edinburgh trams too.
Yesterday I went to Lockerbie to get a train to Edinburgh. When we got to Edinburgh my mum met up with her friend and we all went to the national museum of Scotland. I saw loads of awesome stuff like a whale skull but personally my favorite thing was a Formula 1 simulator. The only thing wrong was I could barely touch the pedals!
On Saturday the 26th of July I went to a Queen Of The South football match. They were playing against Livingston and they got bet 4-3. But the following Saturday they were playing Elgin city and they played better because they won 5-0. Russel scored three goals in the sixth, sixty-first and the eighty-sixth minute. Lyle scored two goals in the thirty-fifth and ninetieth minute. The picture above shows me just before the first goal eating chips and curry.
My favourite part of the hotel was the aqua park, the aqua park had 8 slides. My little sister wasn’t allowed on the slides, but there was a big pirate ship with smaller versions of the bigger slides coming off it. So my little sister still had lots she could play on, sometimes I played on it with her. My favourite slide was a slide that kind of made me feel a little weird, it was called the up slide. The reason it was called that was because instead of the way a normal slide pushed you down, this slide had water jets that pushed you up, so you had to sit on a rubber ring otherwise you might get hurt. I really enjoyed all the slides, there were lots of rings and mats so you never had to wait for a go. I played here almost everyday, with my family and the friends I had made while on holiday.
On Friday 4th July, I went to Egypt, the place I was going to was called Hurghada. M My hotel was called Titanic Beach Spa and Aqua Park, it was a really nice hotel and it was based on the Titanic. There were three restaurants, called Jack, Cal and Rose. Those were the names of the three main characters in the Titanic film.
As soon as I got off the plane when I arrived, the heat was unreal. It was like having a hairdryer blowing in your face. The holiday was brilliant because it was so hot and I met people to play with so I was never bored.
Paul is very proud of himself. During our holiday to Egypt, Paul has learned to swim with no armbands. Click on the link to see the video. Well done Paul, I’m proud of you too.
