Ice Fun At Home

Jasmin’s family has been looking at the photos of the ice marble activity.

“Thank you for the instructions and balloons for this, both Jasmin and her sister enjoyed making these at home.”

We are glad that you enjoyed trying this out at home. It certainly has been a very popular activity, providing lots of valuable discussion.

Decorated Egg Competition

What a lot of fantastic decorated eggs appeared from our Nursery children this week for our competition! It was great to see that children and their families have worked together at home on this fun activity and the Nursery table was full of lots of creative ideas. Well done to everyone who took the time to enter the competition and congratulations to Nancy who was the super Nursery winner.

Signs Of Autumn

Learning about Autumn this term has been helped greatly by the children’s super contributions to our display. Chestnuts, acorns and leaves of so many colours have been collected by the children and their families. Good talking skills have been evident as the children shared their finds with others and talked about where they had found them. Thank you so much to all those families who have taken the time to talk to their children about the signs of Autumn and have helped them find examples. Here is a selection of the things the children have brought in.

Eadie’s Numbers

Based on our recent learning about numbers for National Maths Week, Eadie worked at home with her family to produce a wonderful poster showing all the places she had seen numbers in her community. Mrs. Alexander was very impressed with Eadie’s poster and was interested to hear her talk about the ‘winner’ and the ‘loser’ numbers from the tombola. Great work Eadie! We hope that your family was impressed with your special sticker from Mrs. Alexander.

Numbers and Shapes

Thank you to all those families who have taken part in the national Maths Week by bringing in examples of numbers and shapes from their environment. It is lovely to see the children enthusiastic about maths and sharing their learning with us. Here are more photos from this special week. Well done everyone for producing a great display.

Thank you For Your Comments

Owen’s family has been looking at the photos of the monsters that the children made at home:

“Owen really enjoyed this task, he didn’t want to do a scary monster which is why he did a ‘friendly’ robot which he calls Stuart. Great for their imagination!”

We loved your monster Owen and think that it looks just like a Stuart – good name choice. Well done!

Kacey’s family enjoyed the Pancake Day breakfast:

“Thank you for inviting us for breakfast it was really lovely.”

It’s great when we can get together for these little social occasions. Thank you to all those who were able to join us.
