Fantastic Friendships

Our Health and Wellbeing focus last week was on friendships and Mrs. MacIntyre was delighted to visit Nursery on Monday to present four children with Star Awards for showing particular kindness and consideration towards their friends. Well done all of you. You are fantastic friends.

Star Comments

Our two Star Award winners have received lovely comments from their families this week:

“We are really proud of Sophie for gaining a star award at Nursery and it really nice that her good friend Ava got one with her, FANTASTIC work girls, keep up the good manners!
Sophie is loving Hecklegirth nursery and its lovely to hear all about her morning when she get home, thanks so much to the staff for making her so welcome.”

“Well done Ava and Sophie for gaining the Star Awards, it’s lovely to hear your child is being polite and showing lovely manners towards others. Keep up the good work girls.
Ava is loving her time at Hecklegirth Nursery and is settling in well with the teachers and other children.”

Well done Sophie and Ava for making your families so proud of you. I wonder who will be Star Award winners next week?

Star Award Winners

Last week our Health and Wellbeing focus was on politeness and manners. We have now established our Nursery rules and the children have been asked to try their best to use ‘please’, ‘thank you’ and ’sorry’ appropriately.
As part of a whole school award system linked to our Health and Wellbeing curriculum, Hecklegirth Star Awards will be given to children who have demonstrated success in this area of their learning. Well done to our first award winners who showed wonderful manners and consideration towards others. We feel sure that your families must be very proud of you.

Well Done Ollie!

Ollie’s family has left a comment on his photo:

“Ollie was super excited with his certificate this week. He has also been enjoying looking after his courgette whilst growing at home. He would love to show some of the children our allotment when the weather gets a bit better.”

Well done Ollie. You really deserved that certificate with your super knowledge of the body. We like the sound of a visit to your allotment. I wonder what you grow there?
