Easter Egg Competition

We hope that lots of our children will take part in this week’s competition to hard boil and decorate an egg. Entries can be brought in to Nursery on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th March to add to the whole school display. There will be prizes for the best egg in various groups and ours will be in the Nursery and Primary 1 section. Adults have their own section so the grown ups in your family can have a go too. Have fun decorating your eggs everyone – we look forward to seeing them soon.

Easter Crafts

A few more families joined Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, on Friday to make Easter crafts and they seemed to have good fun, just like those earlier in the week. Here you can see them busy making Easter bowls and pop-up bunnies. Thank you, as always, to Eileen for a great family activity session and to all those parents and grandparents who took part.

Family Easter Crafts

Tuesday saw the first Family Learning sessions to make Easter bowls and pop-up bunnies. It was lovely to see Mums, Dads, aunties and grandparents all joining the children, as well as little brothers and sisters, for the ‘make and take’ activities.
Thank you to Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, for providing a super activity for families to enjoy together and thank you also to everyone who came along. The next sessions are on Friday 17th March at 9.00-9.45 or 2.15 – 3.00. We hope that you have fun.

Easter Bunny Visit

For all you mums and dads who might not be sure if your child imagined something at Nursery yesterday, here is the evidence that the Easter Bunny did indeed visit us on the last day of term. We were all sitting happily enjoying a story together when we caught sight of our surprise visitor out on the school field. As you can see, there was a mad dash for the window to catch sight of the bunny and, as quickly as we could wave and wonder where it had come from, it had gone leaving a lovely basket of little eggs for everyone. Some thought it had disappeared down a big hole, others thought it had hopped up to a passing cloud and some thought it might have magic fairy dust to make it disappear but it was lovely to have a special visit and we were all delighted with the basket of eggs it left. Have a Happy Easter boys and girls and watch out for that bunny in Annan because we still don’t know where it disappeared to.

Lots of Fun

Some of our families have been looking at the photos of the egg decorating competition:

Olivia’s family said, “We had lots of fun turning Olivia’s boiled eggs into her baby sister and baby cousin!!”

Neve’s family had fun too: “Neve loved making the easter bunny eggs was great fun”

It really is amazing how many different things a boiled egg can be turned into. We thought that they were all super.

Eggs-ellent Eggs!

What a lot of fantastic eggs appeared from our Nursery children for the decorated boiled egg competition! It was great to see that so many children and their families had worked together at home on this fun Easter activity and the Nursery/Primary 1 tables were full of lots of creative ideas. Well done to the Primary 1 winner and to Cormac from Nursery who was the runner-up in our category but a huge thanks and well done to everyone who took the time to enter the competition. We thought that your eggs were amazing!

Easter Crafts

Easter craft activities were very popular last week with children and their families as Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, organised some fun with coloured paper, glue and pipe cleaners. It was great to see lots of children and their families take part. Thanks, as always, to Eileen – we are sure that everyone enjoyed your super activities.
