Health Policy- Administration of Medicines

Many children will need to take medication at some point during their time at school. For many, this will be short-term (e.g. finishing a course of medication for a virus), whilst for others, they may require to take medication long-term (e.g. for diabetes or epilepsy).

Calside Primary School follows the Dumfries & Galloway “Health Care 3-18” policy. A full copy of this policy can be found here: Health Care in Schools Policy

If your child requires medication for any reason, please contact the school office in order to complete the appropriate paperwork. An electronic copy of the parental permission booklet can be downloaded here: Administering-Medication Form
