4) Write multiplication sums – try multiplying 2 digit numbers by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10. If you can do this, challenge yourself by multiplying 2 digit numbers by 6, 7, 8 or 9.
You could also challenge yourself by multiplying 3 or 4 digit numbers by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10. You can make up your own calculations. Here are some examples below:
34 61 95 39 748 5910 x 2 x 3 x 5 x 10 x 3 x 5
5) Write division sums – try dividing 2-digit numbers by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10.
27 ÷ 3= 32 ÷ 4= 16 ÷ 2 = 45 ÷ 5= 90 ÷ 10= 9 ÷ 3 =
6) Practise multiplying and dividing 2-digit numbers by 10 and 100. Use a place value chart to help you. You can make up your own calculations. Here are some examples below:
23 x 10= 46 x 10 = 25 x 10 = 39 x 10 =
23 x 100= 46 x 100 = 25 x 100 = 39 x 100 =
670 ÷ 10 = 8700 ÷ 100= 760 ÷ 10 = 1200 ÷ 100 =
7) Practise your multiplication and division fact families for the 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 times tables. See example below:
3 x 6 = 18 18 ÷ 3 = 6
6 x 3 = 18 18 ÷ 6 = 3
8) Make your own Venn diagrams. You can use things that you find around your house.
7) The BBC Bitesize website also has lots of games and activities. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/subjects/z826n39
8) Please see https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/maths/ for numeracy and maths activities.
Literacy
