In Numeracy this week, we have continued with subtraction of 3 and 4 digit numbers, building our knowledge and understanding of different strategies. We also started to use some natural, concrete materials, during outdoor numeracy, on Friday to show different calculations.
In Literacy, we finished our letters to the people of Scotland, asking for their help to defeat King Edward I. We also had fun trying to identify the ‘silly words’ in a text about polar bears. We then had to replace the ‘silly’ word with a ‘sensible’ word.
In Health and Wellbeing, we explored our diets and identified the different food groups. We also focussed on the importance of kindness to others. In PE, we continued trying to improve our fitness levels through different exercises.
We also learned more about key people in the Scottish Wars of Independence. We know a lot of facts about John Balliol, Robert the Bruce and Margaret Maid of Norway.
In Digital Technologies, we continued to create simple animations. We really enjoy this! Some of us also researched some key people from the Scottish Wars of Independence or practiced our Numeracy skills on Sumdog.
