The Fruit Shack

We are now working hard on our tuck shop enterprise.
We have decided to call it the Fruit Shack and we had a Grand Opening when we invited all the school to join us in the hall and we celebrated with popcorn and smoothies. We deisgned t-shirts so we stand out when it is our week to be serving. We are all enjoying the responsibility when it is our turn.

We have also been working hard on out 1930s theme this week. We have been looking at toys, fashion, cars and houses and have found some very interesting facts. Some of the pictures we have seen have been very funny. We watched a funny film about when Green’s Playhouse opened in Dundee. It was very modern at the time. The building is now used as a bingo hall.

The New School Year

We are the new P5/6 in Dens Road Primary School. We have moved into room 12 and we are settling in with our new friends in our new class. We have had to move our seats around a few times until we could find a good place to work, but we think we’re there now. Our new Pupil Councillor is Noam and our new Eco Rep is Mikey. We’ve sorted our new activity groups and we get to start them this afternoon.

We are going to be running the Tuck Shop this year and we’ve deicded to call it the Fruit Shack. We’ve been very busy this week getting ready to start on Monday.

T-Shirts almost ready!

P5/6 are under a lot of pressure to finish their t-shirts to the fantastic quality that they designed some weeks ago. With careful planning, each child used fabric paint to colour the t-shirt. Once finished they used a black fabric pen to mark on the tour details. As these dry overnight, we hope that when they are ironed they will look equally as cool!
