Curriculum

Curriculum for Excellence  experiences and outcome progression is in place to ensure all pupils have both a breadth and depth of learning at Menstrie Primary School . Class teachers, along with other partners and professionals, plan series of lessons to engage learners and work towards the curriculum benchmarks.

Interdisciplinary Learning

Interdisciplinary Learning is a planned experience that brings disciplines together in one coherent programme or project. Often referred to as ‘Topic’ but this approach is must more. Planning in this way enables our learners to:

  • learn new knowledge or skills
  • develop new understanding of concepts
  • draw on prior knowledge
  • transfer and apply knowledge and skills to new problems.
