Welcome to Kellands school entry to the IET Formula Goblin Kit Car event organised by Green Power.  We have been working very hard this term focusing on the environmentally friendly side of electric cars, the design of the car (linking to the awards) and racing the cars in our playground.  Both P7 classes (48 pupils) have been involved in every aspect of this design and built and we have had lots of fun doing so, especially driving the car!

Our entry is called ‘Tangled Turtle’ as plastic in seas is a major world issue that is highly publicised at the moment.  There are numerous photographs that show how littered our water sources are with plastic.  We wanted to highlight this issue further.  Our school has been trying to reduce plastic use in school by collecting and recycling crisp packets.  Trying to reduce the number of packets used by encouraging individuals to buy large share packets and dividing into smaller reusable bags.  This has got children thinking about their use of plastic.
