Rosemount Round-up

Term 1 Newsletter – September 2025

Hello and welcome to session 2025-26 at Rosemount.  With the weather turning increasingly autumnal, the summer holidays are a fading memory already!  We have been busy settling into the new school year and are looking forward to an exciting session ahead. .   A special  welcome to all our new nursery and Primary 1 pupils who have all taken to it like ducks to water!     It has been lovely to see all the children looking so smart in their uniforms –thank you all for making this possible.  Anyone who is having difficulties providing uniform please get in touch so we can help.

We are looking forward to a fun, busy and successful term.  Our focus for improvement around how we teach and assess listening and talking.    We hope to share our learning with you through Seesaw and at an open door events throughout the year.  At the first of these later this month, we would like to share with you our new curriculum rationale and our vision, values and aims for the school.  These have been revised following input from our parents, pupils and staff.  We would also like to introduce you to our new Learning Power – Honest Harry. Please come along on Wednesday 1st of October between 3.30 and 4.30 pm to meet the teachers and look around the school.

Our Silver Jubilee Summer Fair was held on Saturday 30th August and was a great success.  Thanks to Suzi Buchan and her Parent Council Team who ensured the day was a great success and to everyone who came along with family and friends to join in the fun.  A fantastic total was raised which will go towards the replacement of our school trim trail.  We hope this will be achievable by the end of this session.

Did you see our beautiful new Rosemount flag flying on that day?  We’ve had to take it down again until we can get the overhanging branches cut to protect it – hopefully very soon!  Thanks to Rudi Wyper and Montrose Rope and Sail for providing this – we are very proud of it.

Road Safety around the School

Drop off and pick up times are always very busy periods around the school gates.  Please be aware of the dangers that careless parking causes to other road users and pedestrians.  Check out our School Travel Plan to see information about our goals for safe and sustainable travel to school.  Travel Plan Booklet 2025

Please park responsibly and encourage good traffic sense with your children.
