British Science Week

Friday 11th March – Friday 18th March is British Science week.

On Wednesday 16th March the library will be transformed in to an experiment zone with a number of hands on experiments available from cup and string telephones to elephant’s toothpaste. Every pupil who comes to the library will be given a raffle ticket, a winning ticket will be selected at 1.30pm and the lucky pupil with the ticket will win a Science prize.

A number of S1 pupils will attend evening workshops at RGU with a variety of themes including Making Ice Cream with Chemistry and DNA taster.

There is also a number of activities available across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.

Celebration of Success 2016

This year’s annual awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 15th June 2016 in the Beach Ballroom at 7.00pm.

This will be our 11th annual awards ceremony and we are delighted to continually encourage our pupils to ‘aspire to be outstanding’.  As such, our Award ceremony is an ideal opportunity where we can gather together as pupils, parents/carers, staff and school supporters to recognise our outstanding pupils in this gala event.

Highlights of the ceremony in addition to the awarding of prizes, also includes media clips, entertainment and a short speech from both Mr Hendry, Head Teacher, and a guest speaker.

In the coming weeks, pupils will be identified as prizewinners and letters will be sent home to invite family to attend to share this success – please keep an eye out for these!
