Advent Calendar Making

Here we are creating our very own Advent calendars. They are very tricky to cut out however they are worth it because under each door is a kind gesture that we have thought to do each day!!!!

Pictures taken by our photographer for the week…Lou Lou!!!!

Final Outdoor Learning Session with Mr Millar

Wow!! Today was lots of fun for all the children. The task was to create a den that was waterproof. There were some other categories too that they had to try and include. These were, to work effectively in a team, to use the least resources, to choose their location based on amount of trees / natural resources.

It is safe to say that many lessons were learned today!!! However there were many laughs and lots of fun was had too. We even enjoyed some hot chocolate and biscuits afterwards to heat us up!

Christmas Songs

We are learning songs from Christmas Adverts. We chose this year’s Sainsbury’s ad song ‘You Get What You Give’ as it linked to our Showtime topic and assembly. From there we decided to go for ‘Silent Night’ as it’s traditional and was in another Sainsbury’s Christmas ad back in 2014, marking the truce the soldiers came to on Christmas Day. Our third song was inspired by John Lewis’ ad this year which stars Elton John. We decided to choose his Christmas Song ‘Step Into Christmas’ as a result!!

Please use these videos to practise for the Christmas Show:
