We had filming studios set up all around our classroom today with film groups making movies using iMovie. It was fab to see the kids all working hard together to complete one goal! Will be great to see them all on Friday!

I– It’s Nothing New: Adding with Pim (Step 3): I can add thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands, millions using the Pim Principle.
C– Calculations: Subtraction (Step 29): I can subtract with 3 digit numbers.
Today we voted for the Scottish Book Trust BookBug Prize in the category for Picture Books. Or class had to choose from:
Eric Makes a Splash by Emily MacKenzie,
I Am Bat by Morag Hood and
One Button Benny by Alan Windram.
Our class overwhelmingly voted for I Am Bat by Morag Hood.

Spellings:
1. Write out spellings 3 times using the Look, Cover, Write, Check method.

Fun Spelling Activity: Choo Choo Words. Write out your spelling words end to end as one long list of words without any spaces. If you want to be even more creative you can make the line in the shape of a train!! You should change colour pencils with each word you use.
C– Counting: Counting Along (Step 2) : I can count along even when the numbers aren’t written in
L– Learn Its: Revision of x6 tables: Learning the answers, off by heart, in a click!!
Challenge 1: Ask an adult to jumble up the questions and see if you can answer them
Challenge 2: Ask an adult to say the answer and you say the question.
I– It’s Nothing New: Where’s Mully (Step 3): I can find Mully using 10 lots and a Tables Fact.
C– Calculations: Division (Step 19: 2,3,4 and 5 times tables): I can combine 2 or more tables facts to solve division (with remainders). 68 divided by 5 =.
All children received a letter about the Christmas Shoebox Appeal. There has not been a huge amount of donations yet!
If anyone has any of the suitable items as mentioned in the letter, could you please donate these and the Pupil Council will put them together into boxes for the relevant age group.
It’s a great opportunity for a clear out before Christmas!!
We are grateful for all donations as this is for a super worthy cause.

Fun Spelling Activity: Trace Around. Write out your spelling words. Then with a colouring pencil, neatly trace around your spelling words to create a glow like on Microsoft Word.
Numeracy: to be completed for Thursday 15.11.18
Write out the answers of the x4 tables and learn them. Challenge yourself to say them in a list or jumble them up and ask someone to quiz you or ask someone to say the answer and you say the question!!
