Today the afternoon nursery did an amazing assembly for the whole school about numbers and shapes!

We are enjoying the sun today. We learn lots outside including:

• assessing risk
• developing gross motor skills such as running, climbing and balancing
• developing social skills such as sharing, negotiating and compromising.
• learning about nature
• learning to control our bodies to keep ourselves and other people safe

We had lots of fun hunting for numbers and shapes this week. We used the iPads to take photos of the numbers are shapes we found around school and around the local area.

The afternoon class will be sharing these in a whole school assembly on Friday!

At Abbotswell Nursery our staff are trained to deliver the Early Talk Boost programme. We have run the 9 week block with a number of groups this year and it has been really successful in bringing on the children’s speaking and listening skills!
