At Small Isles we believe it is important to care for the environment. We are an Eco School. One of the things we do is we reduce our food waste and it is important because otherwise it will end up in landfill. Landfill produces methane, and methane effects the planet in a bad way.
Composting 
Firstly, we produce our own compost . We also save money because when we compost, we don’t have to transport it very far because it is only outside the front door.
The Wormery
Also we have a Wormery, where we put inedible food waste. We cannot put citrus food in because the worms don’t like it.
