Early Years and Primary Practitioners….. you are invited to ‘Raising the Bar In Core Physical Education in Argyll and Bute’ on Saturday 21st September in Inveraray Primary School, 9.30am for 10.00am till 3.30pm.

Game On Scotland is asking every primary and secondary school in Scotland to get their pupils to design posters to be placed in the rooms of the Athletes’ Village. They guarantee to every individual school that takes part that their chosen artwork will be displayed in the village – your pupils’ work could end up in the bedroom of Usain Bolt, Tom Daley or any of the talented athletes coming to Scotland from all over the world. Food for Thought: Education Fund

Education Scotland are pleased to announce the launch of the Food for Thought: Education Fund. The fund was officially launched by The Minister for Learning, Science and Scotland’s Languages Dr Alasdair Allan and Rural Affairs Secretary Richard Lochhead at Castleview Primary, Edinburgh. The opportunity to apply for a grant from the Food for Thought: Education Fund will give practitioners scope to explore food education within Curriculum for Excellence. FREE WILDLIFE WORKSHOP

Froglife are offering to come into schools and youth groups in Scotland and run amphibian and reptile workshop sessions with a citizen science focus. Workshops will include storytelling, a “wildlife spotter” counting and recording activity, and a craft a frog, toad, newt, lizard or snake session.
