The pupils at Lochdonhead decided that they wanted to run a competition to mark anti-bullying week. They considered the criteria for being a good friend and they voted after break time and lunch time for the person who had shown values of friendship. The votes were counted, and the King and Queen of Friendship were crowned on Tuesday 27th November. The pupils have decided to continue working towards this each week until Christmas. I wonder who the King and Queen will be next week! Continue reading Lochdonhead Anti Bullying week

Children in need coffee morning
On Friday the 16th of November Lochdonhead Primary held a coffee morning in the school to raise money for children in need. It was a very busy morning and many of the parents and guests were generous with home-baking and other treats for the coffee tables. We all participated in serving beverages and supplying everyone with cakes and slices. Many of us wore spots to mark the occasion too. It was a great morning and we raised a grand total of £246.14. Thank you to everyone who came along and joined the fun!
Lochdonhead pupils success in the Tobermory Horticultural Show
All the pupils in Lochdonhead Primary School did a painting for the competition in the Tobermory Horticultural Show. The paintings were about stormy weather. We were very pleased to find out we had won three prizes! Harry won first prize and a token for Tackle and Books; Charlotte won second prize and Ellis won third prize with their great pictures. We are very impressed and very proud of them.

A Diamond of a Party
On Wednesday 6th June Lochdonhead Primary School had a Street Party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee which was absolutely amazing. We invited people from the local community to come along and have some fun, with some tea and home baking on the side. The pupils took on different responsibilities and worked co-operatively to make the day a huge success. We want to thank everyone who came along and give a special thanks to Sir Lachlan MacLean for planting a tree in commemoration of the event. We also want to thank the parents and staff for all their help.
