Fraser MacNicol and Alistair MacVicar, Young Ambassadors at Lochgilphead High School decided that one job they’d like do while they were in post was to raise funds so they could buy new strips for school. Together they organised a Non Uniform Day in November and pupils and staff in school paid £1 to come dressed in ‘sporty gear’ to show support for the cause. They raised a fantastic sum of money and along with help from Lochgilphead High School Fund, they were able to buy two new sets of strips for school.
As the initiative was organised and led by Fraser and Alistair, it was decided that they would get to choose the design and colour of the kit. They did some consultation with other pupils and researched online and the strips were delivered last week. So far they have been used in an S1 – 3 shinty tournament, an U18 friendly football match and most recently at the Seniors Football Tournament. Pictured are Fraser and Alistair sporting the new strips! Well done to them both!
