Rockfield Primary School and St.Columba’s Primary School came together this morning in a Remembrance Day Service. Senior Pupil Leaders from both schools participated in the service by giving information about The Great War and reading the poem, ‘The Cherry Trees,’ by Edward Thomas.
The Rev James Beaton introduced the two minute silence at 11.a.m and then closed the service with a prayer. Pupils from Rockfield Learning Centre made the beautiful wreath on the lectern and pupils from Miss Sim’s P5/4 class created moving haiku poems illustrated with silhouettes and sunsets.
