Yesterday the children in P6/7 received a surprise parcel in the post.

Mrs Baird had been looking for a new way to encourage the children when learning their spelling words and had come across the Fruitella Fruit letters which could be found in a pack.

The class were challenged to make as many words as possible from Fruitella Fruit letters. The children were very enthusiastic and managed to create 118 different words over a week, the longest being ‘opportunities’!

They then used their letter writing skills to write to “Fruitella’ telling them about the challenge. The company were so impressed that they sent the children a lovely letter congratulating them and a ‘reward’ of some of their products plus a box of more Fruitella Fruit letters to be able to keep the challenge going!
