Pupils in P5-7 at Luss Primary School were lucky enough to have a visit from the Loch Lomond Fisheries Trust. Ms. Bryce, who is a marine biologist and Mr. Adams, showed the children a wonderful slideshow of photographs explaining all about the native and invasive species which live in Loch Lomond.
The children impressed them with their enthusiasm, questioning and knowledge of the powan fish, which they have reared from eggs in the classroom for a number of years.
The children are invited in the autumn term, to the Scottish Centre for Ecology and the Natural Environment, which is run by Glasgow University. They will take part in the sampling and tagging process.
