On the 13th June, Paula Love came to visit our school in Bowmore. If our school was free from litter and we were an ECO-friendly place, she would award us our 3rd fantastic Green Flag.
We had to show her around the school and our playground. Our nursery proudly showed Mrs Love their wonderful wormery and the P1/2 class took her on a lovely litter-pick. She also visited their glorious garden which would attract beautiful butterflies and interesting insects!
P3/4’s ‘ Bugingham Palace’ impressed Mrs Love because it looked very comfy for our insects. They also proved to be clever Compost Champions which helps our garden grow victorious vegetables. Finally, they showed her their super seedlings, almost ready to be planted in our groovy garden.
Then P4/5s took Mrs Love to see their newly- built brilliant bird bath, a cool place for birds to chill!
Mrs Love really loved P5/6’s Bag2School project about recycling clothes, she was happy to know we are going to do it again in the next two years!
P6/7 and the Eco Committee led the day very confidently, so much so that Mrs Love immediately awarded us our 3rd Green Flag. We are all so very proud!

A great big well done to you all at Bowmore! We, at Rosneath Primary, will hopefully be applying for our very first Green Flag straight after the Summer Break.
You have given us lots of good ideas.
