Hello everyone!

Here is what our class would like to share this week:

I’ve enjoyed adding and subtracting different amounts of money. I’m now really confident when laying my sums and knowing where to put the decimal point – Ailis

I’ve enjoyed making a Numeracy advent calendar. We drew a Christmas picture on a piece of paper, and cut the doors out. We then put a Numeracy sum behind each door for a friend to solve – Darcie

We have been learning about different tenses in Literacy. I’ve been testing my dad and I beat him on every single question! – Omar

Literacy is my favourite subject. I’ve really enjoyed the texts we’ve been reading for information – Andrew

I love writing! It was great writing about the Christmas Chronicles. I’m also really looking forward to our P5 Christmas party next week – Evi

I was thrilled to be Student of the Week at PE this week. I earned this by being active and showing good manners – Angus

I got a certificate at the wider achievements assembly for passing level 3 at swimming and 4th Mon in Judo! – Aiden

P7p Blog It!

Mrs Smillie and Mrs Wells – We have had a great first week in P7 and would like to say a big thank you to P7p for helping us settle in.

Darcy – Our school won a Sports Gold Award for our after school clubs and sports events  that our school takes part in. We took part in a silent disco as our reward.  We all thought it was amazing!

Logan – We made our own class advent calendar by decorating our own boxes to be filled with a surprise!

We have been working on solving word problems in numeracy which has been quite challenging.

Ferida – On Wednesday we were learning how to write our own Haiku poems. Haiku poems have a syllable pattern of 5,7,5.

We also learned about life cycles of mammals, amphibians, insects and reptiles.

Jessica – We took part in a Christmas PE challenge with Mrs Howard.  We had to create a snowman using PE equipment such as hockey sticks, hula hoops, cones, bean bags and tennis balls.

P7 Blog it!

This week P7 have taken part in numerous learning activities.

Maths and Numeracy

We have been learning how to calculate the fraction of an amount where the numerator is more than one. We have also been practising our four operations: add, subtract, multiply and division. We have been doing a 100 times table test where we were given 10 minutes to do it and solve as many calculations as we could. We have also been practising our maths skills using Active Learning.
