Williamston Breakfast Club – Shake Up Your Wake Up!

Breakfast Shake up your Wake up pic

All this week the children coming along to our Breakfast Club were trying new things as part of the Breakfast Week ‘Shake Up Your Wake Up’. Breakfast included fruit juices, pain au chocolat, croissants, ham and cheese, fresh pancakes, homemade fritatta, a selection of bagels, eggy bread, cereal, fruits and yogurts. Staff and Parents were also encouraged to come along and join in.

Help Grow Your Brain.

Breakfast replenishes glucose levels, an essential carbohydrate that is needed for the brain to work properly.  Studies have shown that eating breakfast can improve concentration and recall and it can also change our mood, lowering stress levels and making us happier.  It has even been linked to improvement in attainment and behaviour.  For the brain to work at its best it needs energy, so start your day with a good breakfast. Shake up your wake up!

The Angels Cried – Alicia MacKay and Amy Anderson

This is a recording of Alicia singing her own cover of ‘The Angels Cried’ by Alan Jackson and Alison Krauss. Alicia had never actually heard the original of this song until after she had sang her own version. The guitar is played by Amy Anderson who has only been playing the guitar for about a year. It was one of many fantastic performances at our Christmas Concert. Enjoy.
