After reading the story, focus the child’s attention on the illustration of the whole barnyard inside the front cover of the book.

Imagine you are a bird flying over the barnyard.  Talk about what you would see below you. Use this to draw a simple map of the barnyard and then mark out the route she takes.

PE

Get active! If you can, go outside.  If you can’t, try using one of our suggested sites. We know that lots of you are loving following Joe Wicks and his keep fit routines. We are more than happy for you to do this whenever you like.

Health and Wellbeing

Spread a little kindness wherever you can-Middleton Care Home are running a competition this week for children. They would like you to create a drawing/letter/card and ask a grown up to take a photograph and post it to their Facebook page. The winner will win a handmade  fairy door.  They will print out the entries into a newspaper for the residents to look at.  This will help them to keep in touch with the outside world.
