Week beginning 20th January 2020

This week in Primary 2 we have been discovering more about Hamish and his friends. All things Scottish are beginning to appear in out classroom; a tartan skirt, a Scottish flag and even a sporran. We created Acrostic poems about each of his friends. Angus is our favourite. In Art we have been looking at the magic of colour mixing. We had a fabulous time designing and making our Hoggle by mixing a whole variety of greens and oranges. Its not finished yet!

Hamish went on his first adventure starting in Bathagate and onto Edinburgh Castle. He has such great time and even saw the Crown Jewels!

Enjoy Burns Night on Saturday.

Week beginning Tuesday 7th January

Happy New Year!

Our first week back has been really exciting as we had a new arrival in our class! As Plop flew away, in came Hamish McHaggis. Hamish has come all the way from the Highlands of Scotland and wants to help us discover all the wonders of Scotland. We are so looking forward to hopping into the Whirry- Bang and having lots of adventures. In Literacy we have been revising our common words and phonemes by playing Hangman. In Maths, we have been revising the Days of the Week, number doubles and number words. We also worked hard on our addition and subtraction.
