Tay Class…Our First Week Back

Lovely to see all the children back to school this week and it’s been a busy one. Here are some photos of what we’ve been up to:

‘H’ enjoyed making and saying numbers and addition sums using the magnetic numbers.

‘A’ sorted the numerals from the puzzle into the correct order.

‘L’ especially likes the  illustrations of the play park in this book.

‘A’ and ‘B’ played with the coloured rice and toy food.

‘A’ and ‘H’ enjoyed creating music outside.

We all enjoyed the sunshine whlist climbing and exploring the trim trail.

‘A’ enjoyed sorting magnetic numbers and making and reading numbers too.

‘L’ played with the treaure chest and liked putting different toys inside.

‘C’ has been very interested in the visual timetable this week.

Some of the class enjoyed making salt dough.  Pouring, mixing and kneading.  Look at those faces… so focussed!

The children made collage spring flowers for our window then ‘H’ helped Miss M. to paint stalks for our flowers and butterflies too.  Fantastic!

Here are a few photos of some of the tasks at the teaching table this week.  ‘C’ and ‘B’ did well on the matching tasks.  ‘A’ and ‘A’ used their fine motor skills to carefully complete the letter ‘h’ with a dabber. They also focused well whilst overwriting the letter h and their name too.

A few photos from ‘Choose Time’…

‘A’ has enjoyed creating Numberblocks using plasticine or play dough.

What a busy week it has been!

Finally, here a few more photos of the children playing  at the trim trail.  Not so sunny this time but that didn’t stop us.  Lots of exploring, climbing, balancing and challenging themselves!

‘B’ loved pulling the chimes back, letting them go and listening to the sounds they made as they bumped together.
