Another fun filled day for P6R

This morning we kicked off our day with training to become buddies for the new Primary One children starting after the summer holidays. They’re learning how to be kind, responsible and supportive, helping our youngest pupils feel like they belong and feel safe in both of our schools. We’re proud of their enthusiasm and know they’ll make great role models.

Our first activity outside was Handball – another fabulous day made it so enjoyable as it wasn’t too hot out! We learnt new skills and played some games. Our friends from Ness class joined us also!

Before lunch we ran in our very own version of The London Marathon with our pals in P1 – great effort by all.

After lunch we completed some health week inspired posters and played team games with Ms. Lindsay and ended our day with a P.E. party!

Last day of health week tomorrow! 🙂

Rannoch News

We have had a wonderfully sunny ‘Health Week’ in Rannoch.

We have enjoyed playing football. We have enjoyed sensory trail time. We have also enjoyed making delicious fruit smoothies on the smoothie bike, which was so much fun!

We have also continued to focus on our learning and have revised our Phonic knowledge and learned more about the initial sounds of ‘sh’ and ‘r’.

In Art we have painted fish in relation to our Topic focus; ‘Under the Sea’. We have also made models with clay…of dinosaurs!

A great week with great friends and great weather!

Primary 1 Health Week, Day 2

It has been another busy day in Primary 1.

We kicked off the day with some yoga and a visit from the school nurses. The nurse told us about eating healthy and looking after our teeth.

Next up was a Judo session, we all tried very hard and used our

perseverance and trying lots of new things.

We then had a super football training session, a football ⚽️ coach taught us lots of cool football drills.

We are looking forward to finding out what we will be getting up to on Thursday!

P6R’s Wonderful Wednesday!

Judo

We started the day off with Judo – we thoroughly enjoyed it

.

Football

In the afternoon we participated in a football skills session and it was very warm out!

We cant wait for tomorrow!

P4 health week day 2

Today we learned about different medicines and how they can help us to feel better and keep us healthy. We also learned about medicine safety and the importance of reading labels and only taking medicines that are for us. We had a fantastic football session learning to dribble, pass and shoot. We loved the game of football hungry hippos! The school nurses talked about healthy eating and teeth hygiene.
Another fantastic day.

P6R Health Week 2025

What a start to this years Health week! We were so lucky with the weather yesterday, it was fabulous!

P6R kicked off the week with the smoothie bike – we made smoothies and fruit kebabs.

After this we headed up the road to Polbeth Bowling Club where we enjoyed playing a game with club members.

In the afternoon we made smore with some children from the nursery and Ness class.

We finished off the day by watching the P7/netball team play the teachers in which the teachers were victorious.

Health week in P4

We had a fantastic start to our Health Week. Our day began with some hip hop dancing, we loved learning a dance to Beat It! By Michael Jackson. Then we had a lovely sunny walk to the bowling club in Polbeth. The men were so patient and helped to show us how to play. Some of us found the weighted ball very difficult to use. We all did manage to give it a go.  We loved our outdoor play in the trim trail and the s’mores , we had help from Mrs Watson and Miss Lindsay. They were delicious. We toasted the marshmallows over the fire pit and squished it between 2 chocolate digestives, yum! We learned about healthy eating,  different food groups and how they help our bodies. In the afternoon we had fun spectating the teachers verses pupils netball game and we all had an ice lolly to top the day off. We had an amazing day.

Heath week day 1

Wow 🤩 what a busy day we had today!
we kicked off the day with fruit 🍇 smoothy and fruit kebabs. We tried lots of fruits and got to try the smoothie bike 🚲. It was lots of fun and very tasty 😋.

We then enjoyed some time in the trim trail practicing our balance skills and making s’mores at the fire 🔥 pit. We had to be very safe around the fire.

In the afternoon we planted seeds. We had agreed that we wanted to plant tomato  🍅 and  peppers 🫑.  We had to make sure our pots had enough soil then we took the seeds out of the tomatoes and peppers and put them in our pots.
We are looking forward to them growing!

Our final activity for the day was to watch the teacher’s verse students netball game, we had lots of fun cheering 📣 on everyone. And we managed to squeeze in a cheeky game of duck 🦆 duck 🦆 goose 🪿.

What a fun day we had!

We have also enjoyed listening to music, dancing and painting butterflies.

On the Trim Trail we have loved playing together on the new Sensory Trail.

We wished everyone in the class a lovely holiday weekend and look forward to seeing each other on Tuesday.
