What a wonderful week we have had in Primary 2!

Our learners have been busy exploring lots of exciting new experiences both inside and outside the classroom. In Numeracy, we have been developing our understanding of number bonds through practical activities and storytelling. The children enjoyed using stories to help make sense of numbers.

As part of our learning about being responsible citizens, we attended the P7 House Captain election. Everyone had the chance to talk to the candidates, vote and make their voice heard.

We are also getting very excited about beginning our outdoor learning journey! This week, we explored different outdoor spaces around our school and discussed how we can stay safe while learning outside. The children shared thoughtful ideas about potential risks and worked together to create our very own Outdoor Learning Class Charter, which will help us enjoy our outdoor adventures safely and responsibly.

Our Meta Skill focus was Working Together, and the children demonstrated this brilliantly while building castles using LEGO. They listened to each other’s ideas, solved problems as a team and showed great creativity as they worked collaboratively on their designs.

To end our week, we attended Mass together on Friday morning. It was a lovely opportunity to come together as a school community.
