Our book of the week was Little Red Riding Hood. We’ll continue some activities related to this next week.
We’ve made the most of some lovely weather – playing in the field and the kick pitch. Several children explored their shadows on the kick pitch fence.
In class, some children played with the dienes materials again, creating different amounts. The 3d shapes were popular with most children exploring them during free- play (choose time). We’ve had some time to develop our understanding of patterns and this will continue next week. We continue to develop our literacy skills at our own individual levels.
Mrs McMaster prepared a variety of equipment again for our PE sessions- we explored this equipment and developed our skills.
Some process art involved printing with foil and mixing paint colours. This led to some messy, sensory hand mixing and printing by some of the children.
The class enjoyed play time in the ‘Shed’. Several of the children are developing their skills on the scooter- becoming more confident each time.
