Primary 5 have had a busy and exciting start to the week!
On Monday and Tuesday, we began our STEM space project, focusing on improving our spatial reasoning skills. We took part in two fun, active and hands-on maths lessons where we explored axis, lines of symmetry and reflections.
In Religion, we learned about the Feast of St Brigid, which takes place on the 1st of February and links to Our Lady & St Brigid’s, our parish church. We then had a go at making St Brigid’s crosses, which proved trickier than we expected but very rewarding.
We also enjoyed movement breaks and outdoor learning with Ms Nelson.
In science, we investigated sinking and floating, using our reciprocal reading skill of predicting to think about what might happen to different objects before testing them out. We then recorded our answers on our worksheet.
