P4B AM Thursday 7th May
Good morning P4!
This morning’s tasks are:
Challenge
Today’s challenge involves following clues to work out the cost of Mrs Meikles shopping.
Writing
Watch the story ‘Out of Sight’ https://vimeo.com/14768689. It is about a little girl who enters an unknown world and unfolds a magical adventure depending on senses other than vision and her imagination.
- Write about your own imaginary world, what would it be like? How would you use your senses?
I am looking for – Correct Sentence structure
A beginning, middle and end
Ambitious vocabulary
Use of connectives - Draw a picture of your imaginary world.
Maths
A couple of weeks ago we looked at using a decimal point when making amounts in pounds. Today we are going to use that knowledge to work out amounts of money using a calculator.
If you are in the ‘Telescope’ or the ‘Pencil’ group here is your daily Numeracy and Literacy Grid.

Green group activity Wk beg 4th May
and here are the maths activity sheets. You can choose “hot”, “Spicy” or “mild” or you can do more than one if you would like a challenge!
It looks like it’s going to be a lovely day so if you would rather spend the day in the sunshine than doing work that’s ok! The weather forecast is for it to get cold and wet again by the weekend so you could make the most of the sunshine while it’s here, just make sure you are wearing sun cream and a sun hat 🙂
Whatever you do, have fun!
