P7 Morning Tasks 19/5

Good Morning Primary 7,

Hope you are well and had a chance to relax over your long weekend.

Today’s Maths Work:

Can improve on your score from last week or if you are finishing ALL 72 correctly can you beat your time?  Post your scores/times to Your Personal Learning Blog.

BMBT Learn Its Week 5

https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/wl/stjohnogilvieprimary/files/2020/04/BM100second.mp3

Last week we introduced the concept of Distance, Speed, Time.  There are 3 rules to learn that let you work them out.  This website has a little refresher for you.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/guides/z4swxnb/revision/1

2b – you now have a mix of SDT so you’ll have to decide which formula to use.  As long as you read the questions carefully.

Today you are going to use either D = S x T     T = D/S      S = D/T

2b SDT Mixed

3a – you have to interpret graphs and then use the SDT calculations to work out the answers.

3a Time-Distance-Speed Graphs

Calculators are allowed when working out Distance, Speed, Time.

Today’s Literacy Work

You have a few different options for literacy today. Below is a link to a short animation called ‘Francis’ – once you have watched it you can go onto the task mat and decide which of the tasks linked to the clip you would like to do. There are 8 in total and we would ask that you try to do a minimum of 2.

Remember to post work up to your Personal Learning Blog.

PE P4-7 19/05/20

Good Morning,

This week we are going to bring together all of the skills we have been learning over the past few weeks to create our very own at home Pentathlon.  You will be using the skills and tips you have been learning to take part in five events each day: Shuttle runs, standing long jump, vertical jump, speed bounce and target throw.  I have posted your task sheet below, please make sure that you read the instructions carefully and watch the videos before you begin the task.

P4-7 PE Home Learning Task

If you are looking for other ways to keep active throughout the day you can also have a look at the document below which is full of fun links to stay active.

Just for Fun

Don’t forget to check out the @WLPENetwork twitter each day for fun daily challenges!  Over the next couple of weeks we are having some sporting stars take over our PE twitter, have a look and see if you recognise any of these faces and give their challenges a go!
