This week has been very exciting! The Friendly Dragon made us our own beanstalk in the classroom and it even had a castle at the top. We have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk and we are sure we could hear the giant stomping and stamping. So we used our imaginations to climb the beanstalk and visit the castle. We then used our senses to explore and wrote some fantastic sentences on special castle paper. We also drew our own beanstalks and put a photograph of ourselves climbing up to the castle.
On Wednesday, when we got back from lunch the classroom was a mess! The Giant had been in the classroom and had left us a giant letter and some footprints to measure with. We were very angry with the Giant as he did not tidy up his mess so we made Wanted Posters and put them all around the school. On Friday, we received another giant letter. The Giant said he was very sorry he had made a mess but he had been looking at all the things in our classroom and got a fright when the bell rang.
We can’t wait to see what exciting things the Friendly Dragon has planned for us next week!
On Tuesday, we were out in the Woodland with Kids Gone Wild. We enjoyed being on the slack line and making a bug hotel.
Congratulations to Aayat, who is our Hot Chocolate Winner this week. She has tried so hard with all her tasks even with her injury.
