This has been a short week but crammed full of learning for pupils in P5B. Carrying on from last weeks learning about articles relating to children in care or adoption. This week we explored

Article 39 (recovery from trauma and reintegration)

Children who have experienced neglect, abuse, exploitation, torture or who are victims of war must receive special support to help them recover their health, dignity, self-respect and social life. Obviously with the War in Ukraine and in Sudan across the news, children had interesting points of view about how to help and what kind of help children would need in these distressing situations.

In their writing they completed their personal recount about their visit to John Muir Country Park or an important day in their life. They continued working  to develop how to use their knowledge of time to plan events.

In our outdoor learning yesterday we created art from natural materials, planted trees, and continued to restore the large bug hotel in our woodlands.

Next week we have a holiday on Monday but we will be working hard for the rest of the week.
