This week in P1B

We have had lots of great learning in P1B this week.

In maths we have been learning number bonds to 6. Addison liked doing finger patterns to make the number bonds. We enjoyed using Numicon to work out our number bonds.

This week we have been learning all about the letter and sound ‘o’. We liked filling a fox with orange o’s and did brilliantly using o to make CVC words.

It is book week this week and we have been reading lots of fabulous books and are very excited today to be coming home with our Bookbug Family Bags. Alex really liked learning about birds and Amelia loved the story Brenda is a Sheep.

It is also Road Safety Week and we have been learning about how to keep safe during the dark nights by wearing reflective clothing, about being safe while travelling in the car and how to cross the road safely. All the class have safely crossed our imaginary road using Stop, Look, Listen and Think.

Haadiya/Scott/Daniel – I liked playing with the fire engine.

Ella – I liked playing with the new safari animals.

Rowan – I liked making wolf masks.

Nicolas – I liked playing with the fire engine toys.
