Dear Parents and Carers,

Here’s an update of this week in P6B:

On Tuesday we began some research work on Missio and SCIAF as part of our RME work. We also had some Halloween art in the afternoon.

Wednesday in writing, we created Halloween themed poems with a focus on rhythm and rhyme. In maths we worked on nets of a cube before we made our own 3D cubes. In the afternoon we went to our woodlands area to tidy, start our fire-making skills and for a bit of free play.

On Thursday we continued our Earth Heroes comprehension tasks, this week working on summaries and sequencing events. In problem solving we had a practical problem solving task involving frogs and lily pads before a written task involving fractions. In the afternoon we started preparing for our St. Andrew’s Day celebration by picking people to do reading and asking for volunteers to perform poems.

Friday we had PE, an area rosary service and a small Halloween treat.

Here are some pupils’ comments on their highlights of the week…
