It was so lovely all being back together again after the Easter Holidays.  We had a great chat to find out how everyone was and what they had been up to.  It was a shorter but still busy week.

In Literacy, we have been learning the ‘oo’ and ‘igh’ sounds.  We also practised reading our common words.  We unscrambled a sentence using igh words and play a game of find the right common word.

In Maths we have continued to practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and also quick recall of number bonds.  We have also been using a counting on strategy to complete addition sums.

In Religion we made our own tomb to show Jesus has Risen.  Mrs Russell put them up on display and said they all look amazing.

Health and Well Being we have looked at how to save water and how we can all play our part at home and at school.  We all contributed to a class display which is up in the hall.  It looks great.

In Gym we have started our new lessons of run, throw, jump.  We are learning different ways to move and also throw different items and see how far they go.  Today we completed Go Noodle and dance songs and moves in our classroom.  It was lots of fun.

Weekly Learning Highlights:
