P6B Weekly Highlights WC October 30th

Hello everyone,

We are going to tell you about P6B’s week and all the fun we have had this week!!

Math – We are currently focussing on division, multiplication, 3D and 2D shapes. We are recapping angles!! We got to examine the 3D shapes and identify their properties of the shapes. We enjoyed maths and we loved doing the 3D work!

Topic/IDL – For IDL we have our topic Extreme Earth. This week we have been focussing on earthquakes and how they happen. Earthquakes happen when the tectonic plates that make up the Earth’s crust rub together! We made leaflets on earthquakes which included how to stay safe in an earthquake.

Literacy- We created poems about bonfire night, autumn, or Halloween. We included imagery techniques such as similies, metaphors, alliteration, onomatopoeia, and more!

Health and Wellbeing – We created Halloween snacks with our friends and created a poster to advertise them for food and nutrition. It was kind of mixing art with HWB!

Hot Chocolate winner this week is Aqsa! Class Stars of the Week this week were Alessia, Adriana, Aqsa, and James! Well done everyone!

Have a lovely weekend, and enjoy fireworks or bonfire shows if you are attending. Stay safe.
