P6B – 10th February

Dear P6B families,

We have had a excellent last week before the February break – full of lots of learning.

Teacher highlights:

  • Starting the research for our new writing topic, Information Reports. Everyone was very engaged and managed to find great facts about their chosen Ecosystem.
  • Getting outside on Wednesday morning. We have been looking at coordinates and map reading so we had an excellent opportunity right in our playground to consolidate our learning.
  • We got together with P6A and began the work for our research groups about Ecosystems.
  • Constructing a floor plan model in maths for our learning of Area.

Pupil highlights:

  • Siddharth – Judo session for PE on Friday.
  • Summer – Taking part in the STEM challenge. “I enjoyed working together with my team and trying to solve the problems to create a racecourse for the bouncy ball”.
  • Alex – Working with P6A for the ecosystem research activity.

Photo highlights –

Well done to Reece who was this weeks hot chocolate winner. Reece has taken ownership in his own learning this week by creating a resource which will help him in an area of maths he is working on and trying to improve. Very impressed!

Have a lovely, well deserved break P6B!

Miss MacGregor
