P2B Week Beginning 19th September 2022

Hello P2B families!

Here are the learning highlights of the week (however short) from the Blue Table:

Blair said the highlight of his week was when we went into the nursery garden with our whiteboards and markers and made tally marks when we saw any blue and red cars travel past our school.  We listened to a story called ‘Tally O’Malley’ and wanted to make tally marks like the characters in the story.  So just like them, we did this when we spotted red and blue cars.  Some children were the blue team and some the red team.  Ask your child which colour of car did we see the most!

Karina also loved our learning about tally marks only she has picked when we surveyed the class to find out their favourite food.

Ressa liked our House Group activity on Friday.  The whole school met in House Groups to complete activities surrounding the topic of bullying.  It was so exciting to be with other fellow House members and go into different classrooms around the school (unless you were St Margaret’s as that was Mrs Devlin’s House).

Sofia was so excited to recount that the best part of her week was being a Star Writer!  This week we wrote about our favourite toy as we compared them to toys that our grandparents may have played with.  Sofia met the success criteria of writing what was her favourite toy, what it looked like and how it felt.  She also wrote a further sentence about when she plays with it.  Impressive!

Lilly said her best part of the week was PE where she played Ninja Tig!

Mrs Devlin’s highlight was our writing lesson as mentioned above. Everyone worked very hard to meet the success criteria and there was a lot of detail in the pictures of their toys too!  Well done P2B!

Congratulations to Lewis, our Hot Chocolate award winner this week!

I hope you all continue to have a great weekend and hope you can make our ‘Sharing the Learning’ event on Wednesday, an opportunity to view your child’s work so far this year and talk to them about the learning that was taking place.  Just a reminder that the two time slots are 2-3pm or 6-7pm.
