This week Primary 6 explored articles 9, 20 and 25 all linked to family life. We learned that not all children live in the same kinds of families, there are families of many different types. We learned that some children need support from carers that are not family members.

During Outdoor Learning we planted sunflowers in a circle in the we dug next week. We also planted wildflowers inside the circle. We are hoping to see some growth before we finish up at the end of June. Fingers crossed for sunny, dry weather to help the plants grow. We will be continuing to weed and plant bedding plants over the next few weeks.

In literacy we began writing poems about individual talents, skills and personal qualities.

We began filming House Captain Speeches (although some technical difficulties). Next week we will continue filming and anyone who has not had an opportunity this week will get their chance next week.

Maths we have been revising our knowledge of radius, diameter and circumference of circles.

We took part in the West Lothian Sumdog competition. St. John Ogilvie first, second and fourth place over47 otherĀ  – 6B came first and P6A came second.

In PE we continued to develop our Athletics Skills.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the holiday on Monday.
