Good afternoon,

We have had an excellent week in Primary 6! Here are some of our learning highlights:

In literacy we have been learning about mnemonics to help us to remember the correct spelling of our words. We also learned about homophones and thought of different ways to help us choose the correct word for the sentence.

In numeracy we have been working hard on fractions, decimals and percentages and have been able to show the connection between them.

The rights of the child: We have been learning about article 7 and 8 and have a great understanding of the importance of our identity and what makes us who we are.

We have enjoyed the beginning of our new topic which is Scotland and have been inspired by a Scottish artist called Steven Brown. Therefore, we created some work in the same style by using lots of colour. Here are some examples:

We have also been learning about Scottish cities and could place them on the map:

Our hot chocolate winner this week was Josh!

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Roy
