Primary One have been very busy this week.  We have been learning the sounds ‘x’ and ‘v’ and we are able to say words that have these sounds.

For writing this week we wrote about a snowman.  Mrs Russell and Mrs Meikle are very proud of how well we are doing remembering to use finger spaces between our words and full stops at the end of our sentences.

We looked at addition within 1o and also number families.  We also practised writing our numbers to 20 to make sure we form the numerals correctly.

We started our new topic this week ‘Our Local Area’, we used Google Earth to locate Scotland and we found it on the world map.  We also looked for Livingston.

We discussed Teeth Hygiene and the importance of brushing our teeth to keep them clean and healthy.  We practised brushing teeth on the model teeth using the big toothbrushes.

We really enjoyed exploring the Ice Cream Shop in our role play area.
