P7B Update

Another great week in P7B this week!

Some fantastic reflections this week:

Lucy enjoyed using base 10 materials to explore and estimate numbers.

Vivaan, Mark and Sara enjoyed constructing their model bridges during technology this week.

Kayleigh enjoyed literacy this week, writing narratives about our school heroes’ opposites. They were very creative and interesting!

A lot of the children highlighted maths this week. Our task was to create a classroom; equipped with a promethean board, white board, jotters and other resources and find the best value within a given budget.  The children were in pairs and were given the opportunity to pitch reasons why their budget should be increased. These were fantastic, very good reasons, including the rights of the child. These pitches did however lead to a debate of ‘stolen’ ideas, but not to worry, Judge Pentland and the P7B Jury was on the job and after very great prosecution and defence arguments, the defence was found not guilty.  Well done! It was a lot of fun!

Here are some pictures of our week:

Our numeracy lesson on estimating numbers using different representations.

Our Friday reflection on the four capacities. This is how P7B have been successful leaners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors this week! Well done P7B! I am very proud of you all and you should be very proud of yourselves! Have a great weekend!
