Primary 1A Learning Highlights

This week we have learned two new sounds.  They are ‘w’ and ‘j’.  We did some special writing and Miss Stebbing was very proud because everyone tried their best.  No one gave up!  Wilma left us new word boost words to learn.  They are cosy, entrance, passenger and terrified.  We are very good at telling someone the meaning.  Our new common word is ‘mum’.

In maths we have been counting to 20.  We were practising adding and take away.  We also learned about numbers in between.

In science we have been learning about the parts of a flower.  Ask us all about them.

There is now a garden centre in our classroom for us to play in.  We are going to add more things to it next week.

Some of our personal highlights are:

Aiden G – I liked playing in the playground.

Ben – I liked playing with my friends.

Ruari – I liked playing frozen tig.

Ollie – I liked getting jelly in the lunch hall.

Kyle – I liked playing with my friends.

Julia – I liked to draw in creative zone.

Paige – I liked playing with all my friends.

Have a great weekend!

Miss Stebbing
