Primary 7B Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

Here’s an update for this week’s learning in P7B:

We extended our knowledge on Japan by completing mapping tasks…

We had a design contest for our Christmas Window Display and we are working on preparing that now, pictures to follow…

Miss Gibson is our cluster IT Champion and she has been in SJO for the last two weeks, helping us learn about different uses of IT to develop our knowledge and undrstanding.  Here we were working on Scratch for coding and being shown how to use a green screen..

We had our second Advent Service as we prepare for Christmas, this week the theme was Peace…

Some of us, despite the weather, managed to take part in Funky Feet Friday where children were asked come to school wearing jazzy shoes/decorated shoes and to bring a donation for WL Foodbank.

We have been expanding our conversational French at the moment and were testing it out on each other here…

Now we’ll hear an update from this week’s Lead Learners:

We are continuing with our class novel ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ and Daily KM. Miss Gibson came to teach us some digital learning and we got some new non-fiction reading books to read. We learned about the island of Japan and got to label the map of Japan after that. We had a transition lesson with Miss O’Hare from St Margret’s Academy where we learned about Social Enterprise and had to write to the First Minister about a social issue that we researched ourselves.

Oskar and Lily

Have a great weekend everyone,

Mr McGurn & Primary 7B
