Good Morning Primary 7, Friday again and nearly the holidays.  We know it will be strange and that for some of you, you will be missing trips away with your family but it’s very important to remember to follow the advice and to stay safe.

This morning we have a couple of tasks for you:

RE – Making your own Cross for Palm Sunday

https://ucatholic.com/blog/palm-cross-instructions/

How To Make A Palm Cross PDF

Obviously you wont have a palm leaf lying about the house but perhaps you can find something to use instead – use a bit of paper 24cm long and 2 cm wide or use your 30 mins outdoor exercise to see if you can find something suitable in nearby woods – only with permission from a parent and following social distancing rules.

Do your best to come up with something, then using this follow the instructions (PDF and video) to create your own Palm Sunday Cross.

Science & Technology – Egg Drop Day Challenge

Egg Drop Day Challenge PDF

Egg Drop Day Challenge WORD

You are being asked to design and build a protective casing for a raw egg.  We all know how delicate eggs are so using materials that you can find from around the house (and have permission to use) you should build a protective shell(haha) that will stop your egg from being smashed when dropped.  Start at 1 meter and keep dropping your egg until it no longer survives – who can successfully save their egg from the tallest drop.  Record your planning and results on the PDF/WORD document and if you also want to take pictures or videos you can post all of your work to your Personal Learning Blogs.

We can’t wait to see your results and the eggstraordinary ideas you come up with to protect your eggs! It’s very eggciting!

Have a great Easter P7, stay safe and we’ll see you soon.,
