P4a Learning Highlights

We were very busy in P4a last week.

Curriculum areas and subjects

In Writing, we used our senses to describe a setting.

Interdisciplinary learning

As part of a group, we researched an inventor to find out information about them and their invention. We then used the information to create a poster.

The ethos and life of the school

We had our first Vertical group on Friday.

Nina- ‘ In the 1 + 2 Gurus group, we were learning colours in Spanish.’

Zahra- ‘In the First Minister’s Reading Challenge group, we were designing butterflies for a display.’

Jack- ‘In the Sports and Health Champions group, we were designing medals.’

Riley- ‘ In the Tech Team group, we were on the laptops and got to go on Paint to draw a picture.’

Alessio- ‘In the Rights Respecting Schools group, we were thinking of our rights. We also did an ordering task with our school rules.’

Opportunities for personal achievement

Well done Jakub who won two medals at the 2019 North East Challenge Cup in Aberdeen for Taekwondo.

Thank you Chiedochie for sharing your Tie Dye creation with us on Thursday.
